Role Description: This is a part-time remote/hybrid Independent Representative role focused on helping clients understand and access life insurance and related financial service products. On a day-to-day basis, the Representative contacts prospective and existing clients, schedules virtual or in-person meetings, and conducts needs-based discussions to explain coverage options in clear, accessible language. Responsibilities include gathering client information, preparing basic product/solution proposals, processing applications, following up to ensure a positive client experience, updating information appropriately, and maintaining licenses and other requirements to continue business operations. The role also involves participating in provided training, field training with recruiter and other team members, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and compliance requirements, and using digital tools and communication platforms to manage schedules and client interactions. Representatives are expected to work independently, manage their time effectively, and uphold regulatory and ethical standards while representing Primerica. Representatives are self-employed and compensation is commission-based. Representatives are responsible for their own tax reporting, filing, and payment as well as applicable provincial licensing fees and other business expenses.

Desirable traits

Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and ability to explain complex information in simple terms
Ability to communicate professionally in English or French; additional languages are an asset, though not required
Interpersonal and client service skills, such as building rapport, demonstrating empathy and maintain professional relationships across diverse client backgrounds
Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage a part-time schedule, and handle multiple client interactions remotely via video conference or in person
Genuine interest in helping individuals and families improve their financial knowledge and make informed decisions about their financial future
Willingness to learn, develop new skills, take initiative, and grow professionally
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or financial services is an asset, though not required

Requirements:

Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to meet applicable provincial licensing and other regulatory requirements, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory and ethical standards is expected; education and support in the licensing process is provided

The Primerica business opportunity involves the sale of term life insurance and mutual funds, as well as offering other financial services products and services such as debt consolidation loan referrals. Primerica Representatives are individuals who have signed an Independent Business Application ("IBA") and who have been approved to become a member of Primerica's sales force. Primerica Representatives are independent contractors, and are not employees of Primerica Companies, or its parent company Primerica, Inc.

Personal Income

From January 1 through December 31, 2025, Primerica paid our Canadian sales force members an average of $21,202 CAD. Representatives typically pay an initial fee of $103.95 CAD inclusive of taxes to provide for training and licensing and also may incur ongoing personal expenses to conduct business. These results are not guaranteed, and your earnings will depend on your personal efforts. Our representatives earn varying levels of income and the cash flow shown reflects an extraordinary level of success that is not typical of the sales force.

The Part-time business opportunity

In Canada, the part-time opportunity may be subject to certain restrictions, depending on your occupation. The IBA fee is $103.95 and the monthly Primerica Online fee is $28.00 (including applicable taxes).
