Original job description

As an Extrusion Operator, you’ll operate and maintain our blown-film extrusion equipment, monitor the manufacturing process, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our products consistently meet quality standards and specifications. You’ll work hands-on with our equipment and team while developing valuable technical and manufacturing skills.

This position is being added to support our continued growth and operational needs, making it a great opportunity to join our team at an exciting time. We’re committed to developing our people and providing opportunities to learn, take on new responsibilities, and build a long-term career with us.

Starting wage: $21.99 per hour, plus applicable shift premiums, with regular wage increases as you develop your skills and progress through the role.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate and monitor blown-film extrusion equipment to meet production, quality, and efficiency requirements.
Follow work orders, production specifications, and established operating procedures, ensuring the correct materials and supplies are available for each job.
Perform equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine operator maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
Complete in-process quality checks and make adjustments as required to maintain product specifications.
Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, including hazard assessments, critical control points, and other required procedures.
Work closely with experienced operators, maintenance, quality, and other team members to resolve issues and keep production moving.
Build your knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, materials, and troubleshooting through hands-on training and coaching.
Take an active role in learning new skills and progressing through the extrusion operator career path.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule, alternating between:

Day Shift: 5:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Night Shift: 5:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.

Rotation includes scheduled days off, providing a predictable schedule and dedicated time to rest and recharge between shifts.

Physical Requirements: This is a hands-on manufacturing role that requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

Why You’ll Like This Opportunity

Build a career, not just a job. This role is part of a structured career progression path, with opportunities to develop your skills and advance into higher-skilled and higher-paid positions.
Learn from experienced operators. Gain practical, hands-on knowledge from people who understand the equipment and the process.
Develop technical skills. Learn extrusion processes, equipment operation, troubleshooting, quality, and manufacturing fundamentals that can support your long-term career.
Be part of a growing operation. Join a team where your development and contributions can make a difference.
Work as part of a team. Collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, and leadership to solve problems and achieve production goals.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are motivated to learn, willing to work hands-on, and interested in building a career in manufacturing.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

Are eager to learn and develop new technical skills.
Take pride in doing quality work and following processes.
Put safety and food safety first.
Are a dependable team player who is willing to help others and learn from experienced team members.
Enjoy solving problems and figuring out how things work.
Are open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.

If you’re ready to learn, grow, and build your manufacturing career, we’d like to meet you! Starting wage is $21.99 plus shift premiums and progression increases.
