Original job description
Probe Immigration Consulting Inc. is hiring two Immigration Caseworkers for our Brampton office.
If you want a real career in Canadian immigration, on files that actually teach you something, this is the role.
We are a Brampton practice led by an RCIC-IRB. Our work goes well past routine applications. We handle LMIAs and work permits for employers across Canada, provincial nominee files in every province, spousal sponsorships, refugee claims and appeals, procedural fairness responses, detention reviews and Federal Court matters. We’re looking for two caseworkers who want to learn this work properly and grow with the firm.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $37,440 – $41,600 per year ($18 – $20/hour), based on skill and experience
- 40 guaranteed hours per week, full-time and permanent
- Commission on top of base salary, tied to [files completed / performance targets]
- Health and dental benefits
- Paid time off
What you’ll do
- Prepare complete, accurate application packages (visitor visas, super visas, SOWP, LMIA and work permits, Express Entry, PNP, family sponsorship) under the direction of the RCIC
- Collect and review client documents, catching gaps, inconsistencies and translation issues before they reach the file
- Draft client emails, letters and first drafts of submissions for RCIC review
- Track deadlines and status expiry dates, and flag extensions early
- Follow up on pending applications and keep case records current
- Support the RCIC on procedural fairness responses, refusals and tribunal files
What we’re looking for
- At least 1 year of hands-on immigration file work in Canada (consulting firm, law office or settlement agency)
- Working knowledge of IRCC portals and current program requirements
- Excellent written English. You notice the detail others miss.
- Organized and calm under pressure, and you own your deadlines
- Punjabi or Hindi is an asset
- Students and graduates of the Queen’s Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law are encouraged to apply
Why Probe
- Direct mentorship from an RCIC-IRB across federal, provincial and tribunal work
- Exposure to complex files most caseworkers never see
- A clear path to Senior Caseworker as you grow
How to apply
Apply with your resume and a short cover note (5–8 sentences) describing the most difficult file you’ve worked on and what you did to get it right. Applications without the cover note won’t be reviewed.
