Role Description The Apprentice Plumber role is a full-time, on-site position located in Edmonton, AB. The apprentice will assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and piping systems in multifamily, commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. Typical tasks include supporting journeypersons with rough-in and finishing work, cutting and assembling pipes, troubleshooting basic plumbing issues, and performing routine maintenance under supervision. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, handling tools and materials properly, and following company and regulatory safety practices. The apprentice will interact with team members and clients as needed, representing Probuilt Mechanical Inc in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in plumbing, including assisting with installation, repair, and basic troubleshooting of plumbing systems.
- Ability to work with pipe systems, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and supporting pipe installation under supervision.
- Experience or aptitude in maintenance and repair tasks, focusing on preventative maintenance and routine system checks.
- Strong customer service approach, with the ability to communicate respectfully and clearly with clients and team members.
- Enrollment in or eligibility for an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program is an asset.
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adhere to safety regulations and company procedures.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working in various site conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Edmonton area is preferred.
