Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.
Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management - Job Description:
The role involves managing multiple Agile squad workstreams and medium-sized technology projects in an asset management setting, primarily focusing on data domain projects. The candidate will document project delivery lifecycle artifacts and align stakeholders while managing risks and dependencies.
Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management - Responsibilities:
- Define and implement project governance, RACI frameworks, and operating cadences
- Coordinate and prioritize multiple agile squad workstreams and projects
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps and project schedules
- Book sessions and drive decision-making forums
- Partner with sponsors to establish success metrics and KPIs
- Keep team members accountable to deliverables and timelines
- Act as a connector between business initiatives and technology teams
- Demonstrate practical Change Management capabilities
Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management - Mandatory Skills:
- PMP, PgMP, CSM, PSM, and/or SAFe certification
- 8+ years of program/project management experience in both waterfall and agile projects
- Experience with Agile projects in a data platform domain/team
- Understanding of front/middle/back-office processes at asset management firms
- 5+ years of experience in a mid- to large-size corporate environment
- Excellent communication and change management skills
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Mural, SharePoint, MS Office
Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with EIMF, Agile, iWF frameworks
- Experience with external vendors and cross-functional teams
- Experience in a bank’s project management frameworks
- Advanced documentation skills
- Experience with executive leadership presentations
Agile IT Project Manager, Asset Management – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.

Requirements
Requires 8+ years of project or program management experience across Agile and waterfall projects, including Agile work in a data platform domain, and familiarity with asset management front-, middle-, and back-office processes. Candidates must have a relevant project or Agile certification, 5+ years in a mid- to large-sized corporate environment, strong communication and change management skills, and experience with Jira, Confluence, Mural, SharePoint, and MS Office.
