Business Analyst
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Business Analyst - Job Description:
The project involves business-as-usual (BAU) operations and aims to backfill a key position within a dynamic team environment. The role focuses on ensuring that the development team delivers customer-focused product increments, aligning with the product vision and maintaining a prioritized product backlog.
Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Partner with management to support the delivery of a product vision
- Create and maintain a product backlog, continuously re-prioritizing user stories
- Align with senior management on product delivery roadmaps and release cadence
- Engage in scrum or Kanban events and suggest improvements
- Manage delivery initiatives and oversee development team (pod) backlogs
- Proactively address issues that impede efficient delivery of customer-focused increments
Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- 5-7 years of experience in banking/financial sectors
- Prior experience using Scrum/Kanban project management frameworks: 5-7 years
- JIRA and Confluence: 5-7 years
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organizational skills
- Leadership mindset for leading the pod
Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Understanding of Architectural Design
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Project management experience
Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with possible extensions based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements
Requires 5–7 years of experience in banking or financial services, Scrum or Kanban, and JIRA and Confluence, along with strong stakeholder communication and organizational skills. A leadership mindset is required; knowledge of architectural design, CSPO certification, SAFe experience, and project management experience are preferred.
