Business Analyst (Financial Services)
Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON
Work Arrangement: Full-time, onsite (5 days/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative focused on assessing and optimizing operational, compliance, and supervisory processes across multiple business locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead current-state assessments across multiple business locations.
- Gather, analyze, and document operational and business process data.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
- Partner with business leaders, managers, and operational stakeholders to validate findings and requirements.
- Develop process maps, workflow documentation, and operational assessments.
- Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Create dashboards, heat maps, summaries, and reporting materials to support decision-making.
- Conduct detailed business process analysis and provide future-state recommendations.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and status updates for leadership teams.
- Collaborate closely with project sponsors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of Business Analysis experience.
- Proven experience conducting current-state assessments, operational reviews, and business process analysis.
- Strong requirements gathering experience through interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with senior leadership and executives.
- Strong process mapping, workflow analysis, and business documentation capabilities.
- Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Brokerage, or similar regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business challenges and deliver data-driven insights.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to Project Management practices and project delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of compliance, supervision, regulatory processes, or branch operations within financial services environments.
- Experience supporting technology or business transformation initiatives.
Education
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
