Scrum Master:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Scrum Master role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office. This is a long term contract position (possible extension or conversion)
Scrum Master - Job Description:
Bank's Financial Crimes Unit is seeking a seasoned, certified Scrum Master to join their Fraud Technology team. This role focuses on supporting agile delivery of enhancements within Fraud applications in a high-pressure FinTech environment, ensuring outcomes are aligned with strategic objectives.
Scrum Master - Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more squads; facilitate all ceremonies and drive continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and foster a high-velocity delivery culture.
- Lead execution of initiatives using adopted methodologies; assess and adapt for quality delivery.
- Adhere to Bank’s Agile Standards and Practices, applying PMLC & SDLC.
- Manage Jira for backlog management and sprint planning; maintain high-quality dashboards.
- Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritize outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate status and insights.
Scrum Master - Mandatory Skills:
- Agile Certification: CSM®, PSM® or equivalent.
- 7+ years in delivery roles, including 5+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Proven capability operating across Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
- Expert-level proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Track record leading large, cross-functional teams.
- In-depth communication and influence skills.
- Located within a reasonable distance to the GTA office.
Scrum Master – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- FinTech experience.
- Pega experience.

Responsibilities
Serve one or more squads as Scrum Master, facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting continuous improvement and high-velocity delivery. Lead and adapt delivery initiatives in line with the bank’s Agile standards, manage Jira backlogs and dashboards, partner with Product Owners on priorities, and communicate status and insights through presentations.
Requirements
Requires an Agile certification such as CSM or PSM, at least seven years in delivery roles including five or more years as a Scrum Master, and experience with Scrum and Kanban. Candidates must be highly proficient in Jira and Confluence, have led large cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong communication and influence skills, and be within reasonable distance of the GTA office; FinTech and Pega experience are preferred.
