Full Stack Engineer II

ABOUT US

Procurify is the AI-enhanced procurement and AP automation platform for mid-market organizations. We make it easy for organizations to take control of spend and save money.

We’re looking for a pragmatic and thoughtful engineering leader to help scale our platform, development practices, and team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer II to join our team and help build the core engine and user experiences that power the Procurify platform. You will be a key contributor across both backend and frontend systems - working on everything from complex business logic and APIs to polished, high-performance user interfaces.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to solve challenging technical problems and ship high-quality features end to end. You’ll need to be passionate about building reliable backend systems and intuitive, scalable frontend applications, and eager to grow your skills in a fast-paced, modern cloud environment.

Everyone at Procurify is a team player. A big part of this role involves a desire for personal growth and a customer-centric mindset. We’re seeking entrepreneurial people who are willing to challenge the status quo and contribute to larger strategic objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

Build & Ship End-to-End Features: Design, develop, and maintain full stack features - from RESTful APIs and backend services to responsive, user-friendly frontend components - using Python/Django and TypeScript/React.
Develop Scalable Backend Services: Build and evolve backend systems that handle business logic, data storage, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
Create High-Quality Frontend Experiences: Implement reusable, accessible, and performant UI components in React. Collaborate with product and design to deliver intuitive user experiences.
Design & Optimize Database Schemas: Contribute to the design of our database models and write efficient, secure queries. You will work to ensure the performance and integrity of our data layer.
Champion Code Quality: Contribute clean, efficient, testable, and reusable code that is easy to maintain and extend. You will actively participate in code reviews, sharing your knowledge and providing constructive feedback to elevate the team.
Strengthen System Architecture: Collaborate with your team on technical designs to ensure they follow appropriate patterns and are architecturally sound. You will help improve the implementation and architecture of our backend systems.
Ensure System Reliability: Participate in the investigation and resolution of defects, performance bottlenecks, and any other issues affecting the quality and stability of the monolith.
Our Tech Stack:
- Application: Python/Django, Typescript/React
- Cloud: AWS
- Infrastructure & Containers: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Databases: MySQL
- CI/CD: CircleCI

Lead With CARES:

Commitment: Demonstrates accountability and follow-through, delivering reliably and owning outcomes in a way that others can depend on.
Ambition: Takes initiative with curiosity and a growth mindset, pursuing bold ideas that elevate impact and performance.
Resilience: Shows adaptability, composure, and perseverance through challenges, staying focused and effective in a fast-changing environment.
Excellence: Brings rigor, collaboration, and a strong quality focus to deliver high-performing solutions and raise the bar for outcomes.
Simplicity: Applies focus, clarity, and streamlining to cut through complexity and enable efficient, impactful execution.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Full Stack Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in hands-on work across both frontend and backend systems, preferably in a SaaS environment.
AI Tool Proficiency: Daily use of tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor to streamline coding tasks, generate documentation, and scaffold features.
Python Proficiency: Strong experience building and maintaining applications using Python and a major web framework (we use Django).
React: Experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture and state management.
Agile & Collaborative: Experience working with agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD principles. You thrive in a team environment.
Empathetic & Accountable: You act with compassion, believe that your team’s success is your success, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
