React Native/ Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer for a 6 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing high-quality mobile UI components, translating Figma designs into functional interfaces, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency.

The candidate should have experience working with design systems, creating reusable UI components, and delivering intuitive, consistent user experiences. Experience in online business banking is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
• Translate Figma designs and prototypes into responsive, pixel-accurate mobile UI components.
• Build reusable, scalable UI components aligned with established design systems and UI standards.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and developers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, improve productivity, and support code quality.
• Ensure mobile applications meet performance, usability, accessibility, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and optimize existing components.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in the mobile development process.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in React Native development.
• Strong experience building, enhancing, and maintaining mobile applications.
• Proven ability to translate Figma designs and prototypes into high-quality mobile UI components.
• Hands-on experience developing reusable components and working with design systems.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, responsive layouts, and component-based architecture.
• Solid debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with designers and cross-functional development teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Lexiconn Mobile is highly preferred.
• Experience in online business banking or digital banking applications.
• Familiarity with banking workflows, financial services applications, and secure digital user experiences.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
