About The Opportunity
Programmed Property Services is seeking a motivated
Gardener to join our Grounds Services team in
Darwin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for gardening, landscaping and outdoor maintenance who is looking to build a long-term career with an industry-leading organisation.
Working within a supportive team environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing customer sites and associated facilities, ensuring gardens and outdoor spaces are presented to the highest standard. You will play an important role in delivering quality grounds maintenance services while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform gardening and grounds maintenance activities across a variety of customer sites.
- Maintain gardens, lawns, landscaped areas and outdoor facilities to a high standard.
- Undertake planting, pruning, mulching, weed control and general garden maintenance.
- Operate mowers, brush cutters and other grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify and report maintenance requirements and opportunities for site improvements.
- Assist with landscaping and garden enhancement activities as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve service delivery objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will enjoy working outdoors and take pride in delivering high-quality gardening and grounds maintenance services.
You Will Also Possess
- Experience in gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance, parks and gardens or a similar role.
- Experience operating mowers, brush cutters and small plant equipment.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude.
- Current Driver's Licence.
Highly Regarded
- Qualification in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or a related discipline.
- Experience working across commercial, government or large-scale grounds maintenance environments.
- Irrigation or turf maintenance experience.
