Do we have your attention? Keep reading.

What You’ll Do

The co‑op students will support the Engineering team across the following activities:

  • Support continuous improvement projects: map current processes, find waste and bottlenecks, and help test and roll out fixes
  • Run time studies and collect operational data, then turn it into clear charts and summaries
  • Build and maintain simple tracking tools in Excel (KPIs, project trackers, action lists)
  • Support 5S audits and standard work: help document standard work and maintain visual management
  • Assist with health and safety tasks: workplace inspections, hazard identification, incident follow-up, and keeping safety records up to date
  • Help prepare toolbox talks, safety training material and procedure updates
  • Follow up on corrective actions so they actually get closed
  • Work with other departments: collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and other teams to keep projects on track, and bring your ideas for solving problems
  • Other duties: support additional tasks as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering program (or a closely related one), ideally in 2nd or 3rd year.
  • Skills:
  • Intermediate level Excel skills, including data collection and analysis; comfortable with numbers and spotting patterns in data
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or process mapping is an asset (coursework counts)
  • Curious and observant, happy to ask “why do we do it this way?” and to think outside the box
    • Clear communicator who’s comfortable talking with people on the floor as well as in the office
    • Reliable, organized, and takes safety seriously
    • Able to work in a production environment and wear PPE
    • Teamwork: Works well with people across engineering, manufacturing and other teams.
    • Time Management: Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines, works independently, and asks for help when needed.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Real project ownership, not just shadowing
    • Practical experience with Lean tools and workplace safety
    • Regular one-on-one mentoring and feedback
    • Work tailored to your learning goals
    • A finished project or two you can show in future interviews
    • Exposure to how operations, safety and engineering work together

    What’s in it for you?

There's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team. We offer an open, communicative environment that fosters individual initiative. We pride ourselves in being a company where people are happy and choose to build a career.
