Founded in 1995, Promation is a leading integrator and manufacturer of high-quality tooling, automation, and robotic systems in Oakville, Ontario. Our dedicated team of PLC designers and engineering professionals ensure top-notch products and services, supported by the Nuclear, Automation, and Industrial divisions.

The Opportunity

Promation is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to support full‑cycle recruitment for technical and skilled roles across the organization. This is a hands‑on recruitment role focused on sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate management within an engineering‑driven, project‑based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage recruitment for technical, engineering, manufacturing, and skilled trade roles across the organization, including engineering (project, controls, design), manufacturing and quality, project management, sales & applications, and assembly/machine shop functions, as well as skilled trades (e.g., machinists, millwrights, electricians, technicians)
Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, project needs, and candidate profiles
Draft and post job advertisements across appropriate recruitment platforms
Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and targeted search strategies
Review resumes and conduct technical screening interviews
Coordinate and participate in interviews with hiring managers and technical teams
Present qualified candidate shortlists and hiring recommendations
Maintain a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
Track requisitions, recruitment activity, and hiring metrics
Continuously improve sourcing and screening approaches as hiring needs evolve

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of proven success recruiting technical roles
Experience recruiting within engineering, automation, manufacturing, or skilled trades environments
Strong technical screening capability and ability to assess candidate fit beyond resumes
Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast‑paced setting
Familiarity with Canadian technical labour markets
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
