You'll also coordinate with our external accounting firm, which supports corporate taxation and year-end accounting.
We're looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working across different aspects of a business.

- Manage customer invoicing, accounts receivable, payment tracking, and collections.
- Process vendor invoices, accounts payable, payments, and employee expense reimbursements.
- Monitor outstanding receivables, payment schedules, and aging balances.
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts.
- Handle foreign currency transactions involving international customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams on customer contracts, billing, and renewals.
- Administer employee payroll through the company's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain employee compensation records, salary adjustments, vacation balances, and payroll-related information.
- Coordinate employee benefits enrolment, changes, and administration.
- Manage payroll reconciliations, statutory deductions, and year-end payroll reporting.
- Respond to routine employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Support general HR administration, employee documentation, and related administrative activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.

- Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and expense planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Provide practical financial information and analysis to support management decisions.
- Prepare and submit GST/HST returns and other routine financial remittances.
- Coordinate with the company's external accounting firm on year-end financial statements, corporate taxation, and related accounting matters.
- Prepare reconciliations, schedules, documentation, and supporting records for external accountants.
- Maintain compliance with applicable CRA requirements and accounting obligations.
- Support financial documentation and expense tracking for government funding programs, R&D activities, and tax incentives.
- Support general business administration and operational activities as needed.
- Assist with tracking software licence revenue, maintenance contracts, recurring revenue, and deferred revenue.
- Help maintain financial records relating to projects, departments, and company initiatives.
- Improve existing accounting workflows, documentation, and administrative processes.
