Financial Advice Manager

Location: Any branch location, PEI

At Provincial Credit Union, we believe banking is about more than money - it’s about people. We’re proud to be a people-first organization and to be recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026. Strong relationships are at the heart of what we do, whether we’re supporting our members, contributing to our communities, or working together as a team.

The Financial Advice Manager strengthens the delivery of consistent, high-quality financial advice across Provincial Credit Union. This role leads the onboarding, training and ongoing development of Financial Services Officers (FSOs), providing the tools, guidance and coaching they need to understand member needs, offer appropriate financial solutions and build strong relationships.

What You’ll Do

    • Develop and strengthen PCU’s approach to financial advice, establishing consistent practices, tools and expectations for FSOs across the organization.
    • Lead FSO onboarding and training, developing learning resources and programs that build the knowledge and skills required to provide effective financial advice.
    • Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and constructive feedback to FSOs to strengthen advice quality and consistency.
    • Work with Branch Managers and other FSO supervisors to share observations, identify capability gaps and support effective coaching within their teams.
    • Partner with Retail Services, Member Experience and other departments to align financial advice with PCU’s service standards, member journeys and organizational priorities.
    • Identify opportunities to improve advice processes, tools and resources using employee feedback, member insights and other available information.
    • Support the introduction of new products, processes and systems by helping ensure FSOs have the information and resources needed to implement changes effectively.
    • Keep the Director, Retail Services informed of emerging trends, advice-related challenges and opportunities to improve financial advice across PCU.

    What You Bring

    Education & Experience

    • Post-secondary education in business, finance, financial services or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
    • Significant experience in retail financial services, including providing financial advice to members or clients.
    • Strong knowledge of personal banking, consumer lending, mortgages, deposits and other financial solutions relevant to the FSO role.
    • Experience coaching, training or developing employees in a financial services environment.
    • Experience developing onboarding or learning programs, or supporting new products, processes and systems, would be considered an asset.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Knowledge of relationship-based banking and the ability to model effective financial advice conversations.
    • Effective coaching, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and support others without direct reporting authority.
    • Ability to translate financial knowledge and advice principles into practical tools and approaches employees can apply with members.
    • Strong listening, questioning and communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive and respectful feedback.
    • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with FSOs, Branch Managers and leaders across PCU.
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple locations.
    • A practical, solutions-focused approach to identifying improvements while balancing member needs, business objectives, risk and regulatory requirements.

    Why You’ll Love It Here:

We believe our employees deserve the same outstanding care we give our members. That’s why we offer:

    • A People-First Culture: Join a supportive team that values collaboration, positivity, and community impact.
    • Competitive Pay & Bonus Program: Market-aligned salary plus the opportunity for annual bonuses.
