  • Contribute to organizational planning and decision making as a member of the senior leadership team
  • Oversee scheduling and service delivery province wide so client visits are covered, on time and consistent with each client's care plan
  • Serve as a key contact for NL Health Services case managers on referrals, service changes, client concerns and reporting
  • Track key measures such as visit fill rates, missed visits, overtime and call response, and lead improvements
  • Respond to and resolve client and family concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support the recruitment and retention of Home Support Workers throughout Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Apply the collective agreement fairly and consistently and take part in labour relations matters, including grievances
  • Ensure compliance with PHC policies, occupational health and safety requirements, privacy obligations and funder standards
  • Travel throughout the province and take part in on call duties as required

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post secondary education in health administration, nursing, social work, business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare related fields such as home care, community health, long term care or acute care
  • 5+ years of experience managing large teams of 20 or more people
  • Experience in a unionized workplace
  • Strong working knowledge of scheduling or client management software (AlayaCare experience is an asset)
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills, and the ability to stay calm and decisive when priorities shift quickly
  • Knowledge of home support services and the NL health system is an asset
  • Ability to work in person in St. John's, travel throughout the province and take part in on call duties as required
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct, including a Vulnerable Sector Check

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A competitive and comprehensive compensation package
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Health and dental benefits after probation
