ProxyLink is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join a large-scale application development team. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java, Oracle/SQL, REST APIs, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into working software.
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Oracle or SQL databases.
• Build and support REST APIs and RESTful web services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and technical issues.
• Participate in application design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Work with technical and business teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, testing, and technical walkthroughs.
• Support application implementations, system conversions, migrations, and post-implementation issues.
• Document technical designs, applications, processes, and user/system information.
• Work effectively in Agile development environments and meet project deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience

Core Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing REST APIs and RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and modern software architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Experience with clean code, refactoring, debugging, and software testing.
• Experience with relational and/or hierarchical databases.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database queries and optimization.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of security technologies and protocols such as:
• JWT
• OAuth 2.0
• SSL Certificates
• Experience with application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Internet-ready/web applications.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development practices.

Oracle Skills – Preferred

Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is highly desirable, including:

• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Collections
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Inventory (INV)
• Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions
• Oracle database programming
• PL/SQL and SQL
• XML
• Unix Shell Scripting
• Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Oracle E-Business table structures
• SQL tuning and partitioned tables
• Data warehouse and ETL processes
• OBIEE
• Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)

Additional Technical Skills

• Experience with structured software development methodologies.
• Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
• Experience with application design and modern design patterns.
• Knowledge of communications protocols.
• Experience with middleware and security gateways.
• Experience reviewing and modifying installation/deployment scripts.
• Experience supporting application migrations and conversions.
• Knowledge of Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
• Understanding of information management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, including AODA, is an asset.

Must-Have Requirements

Candidates must have:

1. 5+ years of experience as a software designer/developer working on large-scale, multi-client web applications.
2. 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
3. 2+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs and RESTful Web Services.
4. Experience using Azure DevOps.
