About the Role

ProxyLink is hiring an experienced Software Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise-level applications using Java Enterprise technologies. The successful candidate will translate business requirements and technical specifications into reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Java EE, Spring Framework, object-relational mapping (ORM) technologies, database management, and modern front-end frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of enterprise application architecture, software design patterns, and application development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design and develop enterprise applications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Java EE and related enterprise technologies.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable n-tier application architectures.
• Apply established software design patterns and development best practices.
• Develop and maintain applications using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and related technologies.
• Implement ORM solutions using JPA, Hibernate, or similar frameworks.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
• Work with relational and cloud-based databases, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and jQuery.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve defects to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Support application deployment, integration, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, testers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing, and Agile development practices.
• Develop web services, implement service-oriented architecture (SOA), and integrate business process management solutions as required.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• 7+ years of experience developing n-tier enterprise applications.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java Enterprise technologies.
• Strong expertise in enterprise application design, software design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive hands-on development and troubleshooting experience on the Java EE platform.
• Strong experience with JPA, Hibernate, and the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in database development, SQL, and stored procedures.
• Experience working with multiple database technologies; expertise in Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Eclipse IDE or IBM Rational Application Developer.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript frameworks, including React, Angular, and jQuery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, user stories, continuous integration (CI), test-driven development (TDD), and automated testing.
• Experience developing web services and implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Familiarity with business process management (BPM) tools, including:
• Camunda BPM
• jBPM
• Activiti
• IBM Process Server
• Drools Rule Engine
• Experience with security frameworks such as Spring Security, Apache Shiro, or ForgeRock.
• Experience with AWS services, including Aurora Serverless, Amazon Athena, Amazon S3, Amazon ElastiCache, and Amazon OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with MyBatis, Cosmos DB, MySQL, and other enterprise database technologies.

Technical Evaluation Criteria

1. Technical Expertise – 40%

• Java EE and n-tier enterprise application development.
• Application architecture, design patterns, deployment, troubleshooting, and unit testing.
• ORM technologies, including JPA, Hibernate, and MyBatis.

2. Spring Framework – 15%

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring Security, and related technologies.

3. Database Management – 15%

• SQL development, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
• Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon RDS.

4. Cloud and Business Process Management – 20%

• Experience with AWS cloud services, including Aurora Serverless, Athena, Amazon S3, ElastiCache, and OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with BPM platforms, including Camunda BPM and Drools Rule Engine.

5. UI Development – 10%

• Front-end development experience with React, Angular, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript.
