About PSL
PSL Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. is an Ottawa mechanical contractor doing commercial and institutional HVAC: schools, government buildings, hospitals and property managers. We're growing our service team and want a commercial tech who wants to build a career with us.
What you'll do
- Service, troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment: rooftop units, make-up air units, boilers, VRF systems, split systems, exhaust and ventilation
- Planned maintenance on service contracts
- Diagnose controls, electrical and refrigeration problems and write clear service reports
- Start up and commission new equipment with our install crews
- Represent PSL on site: clean work and good communication with building operators and clients
What you need
- G2 Gas Technician licence (minimum)
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience on commercial HVAC equipment (boilers, MUAs, RTUs, VRF)
- Hands-on refrigeration experience on commercial equipment (must have)
- Valid driver's licence
- Your own hand tools
- Comfortable working on roofs, on ladders and in mechanical rooms
- Working at Heights and WHMIS (or willing to get them)

Responsibilities
Service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform planned maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, boilers, VRF systems, and ventilation equipment. Diagnose controls, electrical, and refrigeration issues, document service work, commission new equipment, and communicate professionally with clients and building operators.
Requirements
Applicants must hold at least a G2 Gas Technician licence, have at least three years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience, and have commercial refrigeration experience. A valid driver's licence, personal hand tools, and comfort working on roofs, ladders, and in mechanical rooms are required; Working at Heights and WHMIS certifications are required or must be obtained.
