Role Summary
We are seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Fort McMurray. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
- Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
- Other duties as required.
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
- Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment.
- Valid driver's licence
- Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Rate: Based on Experience
- Shift: 21 on and 7 off
- Travel: Flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton
- Accommodations: Camp Provided
- Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.

Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment on industrial sites, following electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Interpret technical drawings, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, coordinate with other trades, and complete required documentation while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
Requires a valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, with Red Seal preferred, and at least four years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Candidates must have the listed safety certifications, knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and occupational health and safety requirements, a valid driver's licence, and the ability to work shifts and in varied site conditions.
