The Role:

Objectifs du poste

Under the direction of the Team Lead, Production Development and Publishing, supports the implementation and execution of PHO's French Language Services (FLS) policy and strategy as well as supporting tools, training and resources including PHO managing translation requests, French-English lexicon, defining internal processes.
Manages the translation request process including the translation tracker and coordinates translation of PHO products and digital content with external service provides, ensuring compliance with Ontario Ministry of Government Services (MSG) procurement directives and guidelines; ensures all invoicing is accurate and complete.
Reviews and proofreads translated materials for quality assurance and liaises with vendors as required to enforce quality control.
Supports the development and ongoing content management of PHO's French language website and related digital content.
Provides expertise and support to internal program areas on FLS compliance and advises where PHO programs and policies may have an impact on the Francophone community.
Provides strategic advice, responses, issues management support, legislation interpretation and application on issues, trends, or complaints related to the provision of FLS.
Develops administrative processes, evaluation tools, performance measures and monitoring systems to monitor, track, evaluate and report PHO FLS requirements and activities and effectiveness of FLS implementation and compliance plans.
Supports manager in development and implementation of PHO operational policies, processes, best practices, tools and resources to promote compliance with FLS.
Develops, recommends and supports initiatives and special projects with direct impact on the Francophone community.
Acts as main point of contact for French Language Services clients
Liaises with the provincial Office of Francophone Affairs to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints regarding the provision of FLS.
Provides training for PHO staff on all existing and any new French language polices and processes
Supports Human Resources with French recruitment and to ensure recruitment policies and processes are compliant with FLSA.

Principales responsabilités-

Ability to efficiently develop materials, with great attention to detail in order to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
3-5 years of related public sector experience.
Fluently bilingual with proficiency in English and superior level of oral and written French.

Assurer la liaison avec l'Office des affaires francophones provincial pour les enquêtes, les réponses et le traitement des plaintes concernant la prestation de services en français.

Education and Experience-

A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
3-5 years of related public sector experience.
