Role Description

Punjab Jewellers is seeking a motivated and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. The role involves assisting customers with jewellery selections and sales while maintaining store displays and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate is customer-focused and detail-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and understand their needs to provide suitable product recommendations and excellent customer service.
• Present jewellery and prepare estimates while using basic math skills and POS systems to process sales transactions accurately.
• Assist with managing the store’s social media accounts by creating engaging content and promoting jewellery collections online.
• Build lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain clean and attractive jewellery displays to ensure products are properly organized and presented.
• Follow store security procedures to ensure jewellery is handled safely and properly accounted for.
• Support team members with daily store operations and assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers in English, Punjabi and/or Hindi to provide a welcoming shopping experience.
• Respond to customer inquiries through phone calls and WhatsApp in a professional and timely manner.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience handling cash transactions using basic mathematical skills and familiarity with POS systems
• Experience creating social media content with the ability to produce high-quality photography and videography.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate fluently with customers in both English and Punjabi is required. Fluency in Hindi is considered an asset.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must have a valid Level 2 Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check completed before applying for this position.
