Original job description

The Role

We are building AI into how Punt markets and grows across our brands. We are hiring a forward-deployed AI engineer - a hands-on builder and operator - to identify where AI workflows can automate recurring work, build connected systems across marketing and growth, and make them dependable enough for the team to use every day.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will partner with channel owners, growth leads, and technical colleagues to select the right mix of software, AI models, and custom code, maintaining responsibility from initial discovery through ongoing operation.

This role is open to candidates that are authorized in to work in Canada (work onsite).

Key Responsibilities

Partner Lead Generation & Outreach. Build AI-driven systems to find, score, and enrich creators, KOLs, and affiliate prospects at scale, so the team focuses on high-performing partners. Run personalized, multi-channel outreach and automated follow-ups across social platforms (e.g., X, Instagram, Discord), keeping CRM records enriched and routing qualified replies to the right owner.
Content & Creative Production. Transform ambassador footage and livestreams into finished assets through moment selection, automated clipping, editing, captioning, formatting, quality checks, and publication workflows. Build searchable, reusable media libraries and generate multi-format paid ad variations (hooks, copy, imagery) to feed performance feedback loops.
Campaign & Partner Operations. Streamline campaign intake, asset handoffs, naming conventions, tracking links, prelaunch checks, status updates, and conversion page testing. Automate partner onboarding, brief distribution, deliverable tracking, and performance scorecards to make creator and affiliate programs effortless to manage.
Lifecycle Marketing & Growth Analytics. Build automated audience preparation workflows, email/SMS onboarding journeys, and messaging triggers using approved customer data and consent rules. Consolidate cross-channel data, highlight performance anomalies, track competitor trends, and provide evidence-backed growth recommendations.
Integrated Workflows. Design and connect end-to-end workflows that link existing tools together with lightweight custom code and workflow automation platforms. Key examples include creator contract and commercial performance tracking, Discord community discovery and outreach systems, and automated creative feedback loops that turn platform wins into scalable ads.

How you will work

Work directly with teams to understand their processes and prioritize opportunities by business value, time saved, implementation effort, and failure risk. Deliver in focused stages.
Connect our tools through APIs and workflow platforms, adding custom code where needed. Test new tools against real examples before adding them to the stack.
Build quality checks, human review steps, retries, alerts, and clear recovery procedures. Protect customer data and apply the access, brand, and channel rules agreed with the relevant owners.
Track output quality, manual intervention, processing time, and operating cost. Maintain and improve workflows as models, tools, and business needs change.
Document what you build, train the team, and maintain a shared library of reusable integrations and templates. Make successful workflows easy for colleagues to operate.

What We are Looking For

Outbound and GTM automation experience across B2B, creator, community, or consumer growth, including social-first outreach on platforms like X, Instagram, and Discord.
Track record of shipping production automation, internal tools, or AI applications with clear, measurable impact.
Strong technical proficiency in Python or JavaScript, APIs, webhooks, SQL, and workflow platforms (e.g., n8n or Make).
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs/multimodal models into workflows, including structured outputs and quality evaluation.
Practical familiarity with agentic frameworks, durable orchestration, and observability/eval tools (e.g., Langfuse, LangSmith) to ensure reliable production systems.
Understanding of digital marketing metrics and linking automation directly to acquisition, conversion, or throughput.
Strong product judgment and communication to scope initial versions, manage trade-offs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Consumer brands, performance marketing, creator programs, or lifecycle marketing
Discord community growth, including building Discord bots and tools for onboarding, engagement, referral tracking or outreach
Video processing and creative automation
Marketing analytics and experimentation; or familiarity with iGaming/casino content, and the operating requirements of these categories

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will map the most valuable opportunities, establish baseline measures, and put an initial workflow into regular use with documented quality checks and a team owner. You will use the results to choose the next project. Over time, success means shorter production cycles, more assets accepted without rework, lower cost per completed task, and measurable improvements in the growth activities your systems support.

Why You'll Love This Role

You will have a broad remit across multiple brands and direct access to the people using your work. You will help decide where AI is worth applying and see the effect in live content, campaigns, and customer journeys.
