Original job description

Role Summary

As our HR Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our people operations in a high-energy, fast-growing tech start-up. Punt is hyper-scaling into new verticals, launching innovative products, and building our flagship superapp - and you’ll be right at the center of the action. We’re looking for a proactive builder who loves working in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and making sense out of ambiguity. If you enjoy starting new projects, thrive on ownership, and get excited about helping teams operate better and creating exceptional candidate and employee experiences, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

Full-Cycle Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Drive end-to-end recruiting across multiple roles to bring top talent onto the team.
Partner with hiring managers to build seamless, candidate-centric interview workflows.
Craft compelling offer packages and deliver smooth, high-touch onboarding paperwork setup.
Keep an eye on key hiring metrics, tracking pipeline health and speed-to-hire.

Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Experience

Deliver a memorable onboarding experience that makes day one inspiring for every new hire.
Design, build, and iterate on our new hire orientation and structured onboarding programs so team members hit the ground running.
Build and manage specialized people initiatives, including co-op and internship programs.
Manage respectful, organized offboarding, gathering insights via exit interviews to continuously improve.
Spot operational friction points and proactively implement automated enhancements to HR leadership.

ATS & HR Tech Ops

Own the ATS, ensuring job postings, pipelines, and candidate data are spotless and up-to-date.
Generate real-time recruiting analytics to provide hiring managers with clear pipeline visibility.
Optimize workflows, build automated process triggers, and manage permissions to keep tech stack operations running seamlessly.

Culture, Community & Events

Spearhead fun, engaging team events, offsites, and celebrations that reinforce our vibrant culture.
Handle end-to-end event logistics - venues, budgeting, comms, and execution.
Pulse-check team feedback to build events that people genuinely look forward to.

Employer Brand & Social

Champion our brand across LinkedIn and social channels to highlight what makes working here great.
Showcase team wins, company milestones, and open roles to magnetize top-tier talent.
Collaborate with HR leadership to align employer brand messaging with core company values.

What Makes This Job Great

High-Impact Growth: Fast-track your career in a hyper-scaling environment with direct mentorship and room to step up quickly.
Vibrant Startup Culture: Join a collaborative, energetic team that celebrates wins, hosts great offsites, and values creative ideas.
Direct Influence & Ownership: Help shape our core culture and people processes from the ground up - your work directly impacts the company’s success.
Competitive Perks & Flexibility: Enjoy competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, learning stipends, and a stocked kitchen.

What You Bring

2–3 years of hands-on experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or Recruiting role within a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record executing full-cycle recruitment with high attention to detail.
Tech-savvy and fluent in modern ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workday), global HR tools (e.g., Deel), compensation tools (e.g., Pave), AI and productivity applications (e.g., Notion, Claude AI), and workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Workato).
Demonstrated success implementing and optimizing HR systems (such as ATS) and running engaging onboarding, co-op, and structured offboarding programs.
Exceptional organizational skills - able to prioritize and multitask across competing demands smoothly.
Self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative and operate independently in an agile setting.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills across all mediums.

Core Competencies

Ownership: Runs recruitment and onboarding tasks with little direction.
Communication: Gives clear updates to managers and candidates.
Adaptability: Shifts focus across departments and open roles as priorities change.
Builder mentality and driven to action: Proactively takes initiative to build processes and drive results.
