We are currently seeking a Transportation Manager for a daytime position at our Québec facility.

Location: 7000 Armand-Viau Street, Québec, QC G2C 2C4
Shift Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shift
Salary: To be discussed, according to Grade 9 salary scale

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to oversee road courier operations and lead a team of unionized employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment while ensuring operational objectives are achieved efficiently. This role requires a highly motivated leader who can drive performance through effective coaching, recognition, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage courier operations, ensuring workflow runs smoothly and efficiently.
Lead and oversee a team of unionized employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Achieve operational targets established in the operational scorecard.
Monitor and manage employee performance in accordance with operational standards and performance metrics.
Continuously improve operational standards through regular performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition.
Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and alignment across the team.
Prepare and complete various reports and documentation related to operations and employee performance.
Consistently demonstrate our core competencies in communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership.
Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.
Postsecondary education is preferred but not required.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of people-management experience, ideally in a unionized environment with warehouse employees, couriers, or transportation personnel.
Logistics experience is considered an asset.
Valid Class 5 driver's licence or equivalent.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven experience complying with and enforcing Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Labour Canada guidelines.
Advanced French language proficiency, both written and spoken.
Must be adaptable and willing to work flexible schedules and days to meet operational requirements.
