Assignment Details
Role: Business Analyst - Data Mapping
Location: Montreal or Quebec City
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Duration: 12 months
Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks after request issuance
Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Business Analyst – Data Mapping
The Data Mapping Business Analyst supports the definition and validation of matching rules between source system data and the target Oracle Fusion Cloud data structure. The analyst contributes to the development of mapping matrices and ensures the quality of transformation rules used for data conversions and interfaces.
Specific Responsibilities
- Analyze data structures from source systems.
- Contribute to the development of mapping matrices for assigned domains.
- Document data transformation, cleansing, and deduplication rules.
- Validate mapping rules with Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) business teams.
- Identify data matching gaps and propose resolution rules.
- Collaborate with interface and data conversion leads to ensure consistency of mapping rules.
- Participate in the validation of mapped data during conversion exercises.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, data analysis, or ETL.
- Knowledge of data mapping and transformation tools.
Assets
- Knowledge of ERP data structures.
- Experience working on ERP data migration or conversion projects.
Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in documenting mapping rules.
- Ability to communicate complex rules to non-technical teams.
- Strong collaboration skills in a multi-team environment.
