They should also have proficiency with Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions like Google Cloud Functions and Amazon Lambda.
The candidate must have a robust background in networking, particularly in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with a strong focus on network security best practices. Hands-on experience with popular cloud-native or SaaS CI/CD solutions, solid understanding of authentication and authorization fundamentals, proficiency in infrastructure as code with a strong preference towards Hashicorp Terraform, and secret management experience are essential for this role.

- Architect and manage hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
- Implement and manage network security measures including Cloud VPNs, security groups, and firewalls, adhering to best practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using cloud-native or SaaS CI/CD solutions such as Argo Workflows, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
- Recommend and implement authentication and authorization strategies using common cloud patterns (e.g. SSO, OAuth, OIDC, service accounts, IAM, etc.).
- Utilize infrastructure as code tools (i.e. Terraform) to automate and manage cloud resources.
- Manage secrets using tools like Hashicorp Vault, Google Secret Manager, and Azure KeyVault.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their cloud infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and effective.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with experience in creating and recommending solution architectures and designs.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and managed cloud-based Kubernetes offerings (AKS, EKS, GKE).
- Experience with PaaS solutions such as Google Cloud Functions and Amazon Lambda.
- Solid networking experience, particularly in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with a strong focus on network security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native or SaaS CI/CD solutions such as Argo Workflows, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of authentication (SSO, OAuth, service accounts) and authorization (IAM, RBAC) fundamentals.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code, with a strong preference towards Hashicorp Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with secret management tools such as Hashicorp Vault, Google Secret Manager, and Azure KeyVault.
- Certifications in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CKAD).
- Ability to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance; Level 2 security clearance is an asset.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruiting is just getting started, so we know you have questions about how and why we use it. At certain points during our recruiting process, we rely on AI to improve your experience. This could be during resume review or curating personalized job recommendations, asking you clarifying questions via a chatbot or during our interview scheduling to improve your experience. Our use of AI helps ensure we combat bias by evaluating candidates equally and fairly, without seeing identity information, such as your name, or gender for example). AI also helps us better predict successful hires by reviewing all applicants for a role and the relationship between your skills, experience and likely success at PwC Canada. While AI supports parts of our recruitment process, final hiring decisions always involve human review. For more information about our use and protection of your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy (https://www.pwc.com/ca/en/privacy-policy.html).
