Position Summary
The Ice Crew provides on-ice support services related to maintaining ice conditions and supporting promotional, ceremonial and logistical needs throughout Vancouver Goldeneyes home games and events. Ice Crew members help maintain a clean and safe ice surface while supporting the overall game presentation experience.

Independent Contractor Engagement
This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position. The contractor is not eligible for PWHL employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan participation, paid time off, or workers’ compensation coverage. The PWHL will not withhold income tax, CPP/EI (Canada), or Social Security/Medicare (U.S.) from contractor payments.

Ice Crew members help maintain a clean and safe ice surface while supporting the overall game presentation experience.
Services
- Promptly clear the ice with a shovel during media timeouts and other designated times.
- Provide ice maintenance and related services as needed throughout scheduled games.
- Assist with on-ice setup and breakdown for pregame ceremonies, promotions, activations and special events.
- Support on-ice promotional activities, including retrieving and placing equipment, props and other materials.
- Coordinate with the Game Presentation and Event Operations teams regarding additional on-ice logistical needs.
- Collaborate with Game Presentation, Hockey Operations, venue staff and other event personnel.
- Follow all applicable safety protocols and procedures while providing services on and around the ice surface.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong skater with the ability to confidently and safely skate in hockey skates.
- Must be able to provide services at 10 to 13 Vancouver Goldeneyes home games.
- Ability to provide services effectively in a fast-paced live environment.
- Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.
- Professional, reliable and team oriented.
- Candidate must be able to deliver services on-site.
- This engagement is based in Canada. Applicants must be legally entitled to provide services as an independent contractor in Canada. The PWHL does not sponsor work permits for this engagement.
- Knowledge of and passion for the PWHL and hockey.
- Flexibility to provide services on evenings and weekends as required.

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18, skate confidently and safely in hockey skates, and be available for 10 to 13 home games. They must be legally entitled to work as an independent contractor in Canada, able to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, and have strong communication, organization, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
