Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain next-generation, cloud-native test automation frameworks using Core Java and BDD/TDD principles.
• Spearhead in-sprint automation practices for UI, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-assisted testing solutions for enhanced testing efficiency.
• Architect robust API and microservice testing frameworks using tools like Rest Assured and Mocking frameworks.
• Formulate non-functional testing strategies using JMeter or Gatling for performance benchmarking.
• Analyze system bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.
• Implement resilience and chaos engineering testing paradigms.
• Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines across containerized environments.
• Define automated metrics and dashboards for continuous quality analytics.
• Provide technical direction and governance to global SDETs and QE engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for comprehensive test planning and risk assessment.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in software development and quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a Lead SDET, Principal SDET, or QA Architect role.
• Proven track record in Financial Services, Client Markets, FinTech, or low-latency Trading Platforms.
• Expert-level proficiency in Core Java (collections, multithreading, concurrency, OOP design patterns).
• Demonstrated experience in building scalable test frameworks (Custom hybrid frameworks, Cucumber BDD, TestNG/JUnit).
• Deep expertise in RESTful API testing and tools such as Rest Assured and Postman/Newman.
• Extensive hands-on experience with UI automation tools like Selenium WebDriver or Cypress.
• Solid background in performance testing with JMeter and load injection architecture.
• Strong query formulation skills across SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Experience integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jenkins, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and automated self-healing scripts.
• Background as a full-time Software Development Engineer (Java/Spring Boot).
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Contract Testing (Pact framework) and Service Mesh architectures.
• Experience with Cloud native platforms (AWS, GCP, or OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Security testing fundamentals (DAST/SAST integration into pipelines).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications such as Certified Software Test Architect, AWS/GCP Cloud Architecture, or Java SE Professional Developer Certification are advantageous.
