Original job description
No one heals alone. For twenty years, Qi Integrated Health has been the clinic in Kitsilano where fifteen disciplines work on the same case: acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, naturopathic medicine, physiotherapy, osteopathy, registered massage therapy, counselling, psychedelic-assisted therapy and more. More than 25,000 people have come through the door at 1764 West 7th Avenue.
Our mission: to bring the full inheritance of human medicine to each person, healing the patterns that keep them unwell and carrying them toward flourishing. Qi exists for anyone who wants to be well: the person carrying something nobody has solved, the person who has hit a wall with what they have tried, and the person who is fine and intends to stay that way.
The RoleIt is 11:40 on a weeknight, and a woman in her fifties is typing the same question into a search bar for the third time this month: why does her back hurt worse when she hasn't slept? Every result is a list of services and a phone number. Then one isn't. It is a page from Qi that explains, in plain language, why sleep and pain so often turn out to be one pattern. She reads it twice. She doesn't book anything.
Three weeks later an email invites her to a free evening talk at Qi on sleep. When she goes, the building is calm, someone remembers her name, and two practitioners from different disciplines talk through the same case together. That weekend she reads the testimonials page for an hour, looking for someone like her, and finds three. On Monday she sends a message, and with an hour our team reached out.
No ad pushed her. Every step was something Qi made that taught her something, until trusting Qi felt like her own idea. That chain, from a search at midnight to a message on Monday, is your department.
The role is hands-on. In a typical week, that means planning in Asana, editing a practitioner interview, writing the newsletter, updating a service page and briefing the ad agency on new creative.
- Type: Part-time, 3 days a week, starting with a 3-month trial. Potential to grow to 4 days based on results.
- Location: In person at our Kitsilano clinic, Vancouver BC. Some evenings and weekends for events.
The order of work is set. Launch the channels on the Sales Channels list in their order of importance, starting with the ones that cost the least and carry the most trust: search, pages AI tools can cite, the past-patient list and the 2.0 newsletter, then community events. Paid ads scale after the owned and earned channels prove what works. Every channel is kept, doubled or cut on evidence.
Channels- Launch channels in the Sales Channels order, measure each one, and review it monthly: keep, double or cut.
- Time campaigns aligned with seasonality and practitioner availability. .
Video is how people sense the place before they arrive: the light, the pace, the way practitioners talk about their work.
- Schedule/Publish every week across channels
- Plan, film and edit short and long-form video: practitioner interviews, a look inside the clinic, event recaps and explainers on how each discipline works. Take each piece from rough cut to captioned, platform-ready final.
- Brief photographers and videographers for larger shoots, including footage for paid campaigns.
- Keep the asset library organized and versioned in Google Drive, and a Canva toolkit of branded templates.
Happy, thriving practitioners create the best results for patients. This role helps each one be found by the people they can help, with practitioners as the faces of Qi.
- Lead marketing onboarding for new practitioners: bio, headshots, intro video, website listing and an introduction to the community.
- Help practitioners share what they know through explainer videos, newsletter features, blogs and practitioner-led workshops.
- Gather patient stories and case stories with documented consent, within each college's advertising rules.
The newsletter is Qi's steadiest relationship with its community. The aim is a list that grows because people find it useful.
- Send the 2.0 newsletter to the past-patient list every month, plus reactivation campaigns and event invitations.
- Clean and segment lists to increase open and CTRs
- Grow the list through the website, events, in-clinic moments and practitioner content, with clear consent at every step.
- Test subject lines, content and timing. Report on opens, clicks, list growth and bookings from email.
- Write internal team newsletters and Slack updates.
- Edit and maintain qiintegratedhealth.com, psyqi.ca and vancouverclinicaltrials.com: service pages, practitioner listings, landing pages and the homepage.
- Own SEO for Google and AI search tools, including on-page optimization, structured data and content clear enough to be cited.
- Write and edit blog posts to a content calendar tied to clinic priorities, awareness days and practitioner availability.
- Manage Google Business Profile and keep a steady flow of patient reviews.
The standing goal is to get people into the building seven times. Classes, evenings and talks are how that happens.
- Run a calendar of talks, info nights and workshops, with partner co-hosts where they fit.
- Create the materials: listings, posters, social assets, email invitations and recaps.
- Lead the marketing for Qi's 20-year anniversary.
- Plan, create and publish organic content on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Respond to comments and messages promptly, in Qi's voice.
- Paid advertising is run by our media agency. This role supplies creative direction and fresh assets, especially Meta video, so ad spend has something worth showing.
- Psychedelic-assisted therapy ads wait until certification, the platforms and the regulators allow them.
- Build every marketing initiative as a project in Asana, with owners, dates and dependencies, so anyone can see where things stand.
- Coordinate work across practitioners, front desk, operations, leadership and outside partners, and follow each piece through to done.
- Brief the agency, PR and creative vendors clearly, and hold them to scope, budget and deadline.
- See gaps in processes and document them as SOPs.
- Check every claim, testimonial and ad against the Qi Brand Codex, the Writing Guide and the Compliance Rules before it goes out.
- Give practitioners clear guidance on college advertising standards and Health Canada rules.
- Report new leads, lead source, cost per lead and event attendance to the Head of Revenue every week.
- Work with the media agency to keep GA4 and Looker Studio dashboards accurate and on schedule.
- Bring your numbers, rock progress and issues to the weekly team meeting, and own your rocks each quarter.
You work closely with:
- The marketing agencies, PR, event and promotions seat once it opens
- Director of Growth & Partnerships: Partner kits, co-hosted events and campaigns for partner members
- Practitioners and the Patient Service Team: Practitioner content, case stories and what can be said
- CEO: The CEO’s talks, podcasts and public story
