We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital Print Production, in a fast-paced environment. This role combines **print operation and finishing** - running digital print equipment and performing finishing work such as cutting, lamination, kiss-cutting, weeding, and premasking.
You'll work closely with the General Manager (GM) and other team members to ensure timely completion of print jobs while maintaining a high level of quality, from print through to finished, ready-to-ship product.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, customer-centric service to our internal team.
- Review the status of all upcoming print jobs each morning to stay informed on priorities and requirements.
- Operate digital print equipment (EFI, Epson, Graphtek, and others as required).
- Optimize stock usage and load material onto each machine for every print job.
- Perform daily print head cleaning and minor equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of print stocks - paper, ink, and other supplies - ensuring levels support ongoing production.
- Coordinate and schedule print jobs with the GM according to established timelines and customer requirements.
- Perform finishing work - trimming, kiss-cutting, die-cutting, laminating, weeding, premasking, and related processes.
- Communicate finishing requirements clearly between print and finishing stages to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, label, and organize incoming shipments of materials, equipment, and supplies in designated storage areas.
- Prepare and organize outgoing shipments on skids or in boxes as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area, including workstations and storage.
- Operate forklift equipment to move materials, skids, and other items safely (training provided).
- Dispose of unused materials and production waste per established guidelines.
- Perform quality control review on all print and finished product prior to shipping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in print production, including digital formats and medium/large-format digital printers.
- Hands-on experience with finishing techniques - cutting, lamination, kiss-cutting, weeding, die-cutting, premasking, and packaging.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Forklift certification an asset (training provided if needed).
- Strong computer skills and comfort troubleshooting software.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be a legal resident of Canada.
Bonus Skills
Not required, but a plus: Practical hands-on aptitude with tools and materials, skilled in creative fabrication or other technical skills that add versatility to the team.
Schedule
- Variable shifts (morning and afternoon), generally Monday to Friday; may occasionally include weekends.
