About Qorsa

Qorsa is a Canadian post-quantum cryptography and cybersecurity company building CasQade - a crypto-agile security platform protecting sovereign government, defence, financial, and critical-infrastructure networks against current and emerging cryptographic threats. We are headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, with a European subsidiary in The Hague, Netherlands. Our work spans post-quantum cryptography, explainable AI, AI-driven threat intelligence, cryptographic agility, hardware security, and distributed systems, with active engagements across Canadian defence, NATO, and allied partner organizations.

The Role

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to run the build, release and deployment infrastructure for CasQade, our crypto-agile post-quantum platform, and for our AI applications. Our components ship as container images and native Linux services, and customers run them in the cloud, on premises and on air-gapped networks.

You will make our releases reproducible and our integration tests reliable, and build the deployment tooling our solutions team uses at customer sites.

For a security company, how we build and ship software is part of what customers are trusting. Signed, reproducible, verifiable releases are central to the product, and you will own them.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the CI/CD pipelines that build, test, sign and publish our release artifacts
  • Run the integration environment that deploys the full stack to Kubernetes and tests the components against each other
  • Build and maintain deployment tooling for Docker Compose, Kubernetes and bare-metal Linux hosts running systemd
  • Run GPU-backed model serving for our AI applications, along with the databases it depends on
  • Manage our Azure infrastructure as code, including demo and multi-node test environments
  • Package releases for offline installation on air-gapped networks, with pinned dependencies and signed artifacts
  • Operate the certificate authorities and secrets our internal environments depend on, including rotation
  • Set up monitoring and logging for internal and demo environments
  • Work with solutions architects on the tooling they need for customer deployments

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in DevOps, site reliability or infrastructure engineering
  • Strong Linux administration and networking, including iptables or nftables, DNS and TLS troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience running Docker and Kubernetes in production
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar, and managing container registries
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience on Azure or another major cloud
  • Scripting in Bash and Python, and able to read and modify Go
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working across disciplines
  • Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance (Secret level)

Strong Assets

  • Experience deploying into air-gapped or classified environments
  • Familiarity with PKI operations and HSMs
  • Supply-chain security practices such as reproducible builds, image signing and SBOMs
  • Experience running GPU workloads or LLM inference servers in production

Compensation

We compensate exceptionally well - a strong base salary plus meaningful stock options in a rapidly growing company.

Benefits

  • Dental care
  • Extended health care
  • Vision care
  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person, Waterloo, Ontario.
