Original job description
Qu Data Centres is a pure-play Canadian data centre platform operating 9 facilities across 5 Canadian markets: Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto and London, Ontario. We serve 750+ organizations across financial services, energy, healthcare, government and technology.
We're built on four pillars: Qu has proven infrastructure, capacity available now, sovereignty by design, and a team that acts as a true infrastructure partner to every customer. Our customers never have to choose between quality, capacity, sovereignty and service.
The role
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing to lead how Qu shows up in the market during a period of immense growth. You'll own our marketing strategy and turn Qu's story into brand preference, influence and qualified pipeline. Reporting to the CEO, you'll work hand in hand with our Director of Sales to drive pipeline, and lead a lean, growing team supported by specialist agencies.
What You'll Do
- Build and own the annual marketing plan, budget, positioning and messaging.
- Bring Qu's four pillars to life across web, search, social, video and email, and deliver a new customer reference every quarter.
- Run a selective thought leadership and events plan that puts Qu executives on the right stages, panels and media, from major conferences to executive dinners and facility tours.
- Lead PR and government relations with the CEO, positioning Qu on Canadian data sovereignty, AI and the themes shaping the data centre industry in Canada today.
- Plan and run demand generation campaigns, including ABM, paid media, events and co-marketing with partners, that create new pipeline.
- Work hand in hand with the Director of Sales on shared targets, lead definitions, sales collateral and bespoke customer experiences.
- Support our partner and channel lead, and represent Qu in key industry associations, business councils, chambers of commerce and economic development groups.
- Own marketing operations, lead flow and reporting, and tell the story of Qu's growth through the numbers, including marketing's attribution to pipeline and revenue.
- 10+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years leading a marketing function or program.
- Experience in technology, cloud, data centre, telecom or infrastructure markets.
- A track record of building pipeline alongside Sales and proving marketing's revenue impact.
- Experience leading agencies and managing a multi-channel budget.
- Strong writing and executive communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot and Salesforce, or similar marketing automation and CRM platforms.
- A self-starting, AI-first approach, with the energy to rally a team.
- Willingness to travel between Ontario and Alberta.
- Public sector, government relations or regulated-industry marketing experience.
- Existing relationships in the Canadian technology or data centre community.
Billions of dollars in new data centre builds are being announced across Canada. Everyone is announcing; Qu is delivering, with live, powered capacity, decades of operating experience and a sovereign story the market needs to hear.
You'll join a small, senior team where decisions move quickly and your work is visible from day one. Reporting to the CEO, you'll have a seat at the table and the scope to shape how Canada sees Qu.
Qu Data Centres welcomes applications from all qualified candidates. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
