Job Description

As a Software Quality Engineer on our Integration team, you'll own the quality of the integrations that connect our Accounts Payable platform with the different ERP and accounting systems our customers rely on. Your focus is making sure data flows correctly and reliably between systems.

This role focuses on manual and exploratory testing. You'll test our web app, desktop app, and integrations with different ERP systems. You'll also write and maintain some automated tests. Our stack includes PHP, TypeScript, and C#/.NET, and our environment runs on AWS and Microsoft Azure, with a DevOps culture built around CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities And Qualifications

  • QA Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on manual testing of web applications in a development team. A fast learner who can adapt quickly to different project teams and tech stacks.
  • Strong Communication and Ownership: Must have clear written and verbal communication. Prioritize your own work, share status updates, ask for help early, and take feedback well.
  • Manual Testing: Write clear manual test cases. Run regression, acceptance, integration, exploratory, and edge case tests. Perform impact analysis.
  • Shift Left on Quality: Work with Product and Development from the start of each feature. Ask questions early to understand the feature and clarify requirements. Speak up when you see a risk, a gap, or a better approach.
  • Documentation and QA Artifacts: Keep test documentation, regression suites, and reference material accurate and accessible for new and existing functionality.
  • Work with Developers: Pair with developers during development for testing when needed.
  • Technical Skills: Use the Linux command line for daily work. Have basic hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright. Work in Linux, Windows, or macOS. A basic understanding of coding, with some hands-on coding in JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, C#/.NET, or Python, is a strong asset.
  • Development Process: Understand the software development life cycle. Use Jira or similar tools for tasks and bugs reporting. Basic CI/CD knowledge is a plus.
