Staff Connectivity Systems Engineer

As a connectivity systems engineer, you'll define and develop the technologies that underlie the next generation of our products. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in system-level simulations of 100+Gbps/lane electrical and optical links using Matlab, Python and/or other programming languages. They'll also be able to correlate lab measurements with a system model and improve link performance in the lab. Use, enhance, and develop simulation platforms for architectural exploration of new approaches
Derive specifications for components, circuits, and signal processing features in future products
Provide input to our senior leadership, product marketing, and engineering teams on the expected performance and required features of next-generation solutions
Engage and collaborate with other members of the engineering team to turn your ideas into prototypes
Prepare and present analysis internally to marketing and engineering teams and externally to partners, customers, and standards bodies

What You'll Need

Master's or PhD degree with 5 years' relevant experience
Experience with and a strong mathematical understanding of the analytical and numerical modelling of system-level electrical and optical communication systems and components at 100+Gbps
Experience interpreting and incorporating measurements of electronic interconnects, amplifiers, and components such as the S parameters, jitter, and SNDR into system-level models
Programming experience in Matlab and/or Python including using AI automation to accelerate development
