Replacement Position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

What You'll Do

You can lead a project, define test plans, bring up silicon, debug issues, present test results, and deliver full validation reports. You will also:

• Characterize analog blocks and perform PHY/Link Layer/Protocol compliance against various industry standards such as PCIe, Ethernet, and UCIe
• Develop and standardize test scripts for various tests and automate test equipment
• Determine equipment and accessories needs for various tests
• Study signal integrity and power integrity for evaluation boards and for silicon

What You'll Need:

• Ability to lead a validation project end to end.
• Validation and/or debug experience with high speed electrical or memory interfaces (PCIe, IEEE 100G CK (C2M, CR, KR), and OIF 100G CEI (VSR, MR, LR), 224G, UCIe, etc
• Strong understandings of SerDes architecture
• Scripting ability with Python or C/C++
• Lab and lab equipment experience spanning automating test instruments such as Scope, BERT, Logic Analyzer/Exerciser, VNA, Power Supplies and Multimeters, etc.
• Data processing
  

It Would Be Amazing If You Had:

• NRZ, PAM4 and theory of operation: PLL, CDR, CTLE, FFE, DFE, etc.
• Experience in using compliance software such as SIGTEST, SEASIM, COM, etc.
• Experience in PCB design and good understandings of signal integrity, insertion loss, return loss, TDR
• Good understanding of design blocks like MAC and PCS is a plus
• Experience in optical and die2die validation is a plus
• Experience in Mango Database, HTML, JavaScript for data post processing and analysis is a plus

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$108,000.00 - $158,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
