Job Summary
The Companion Worker is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan

Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Current clean Background Check or be willing to obtain one
- Ability to travel around the location territory
- Access to a vehicle

Requirements
Applicants must have a Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent, such as foreign-trained nursing credentials or nursing student status. They must have current CPR and First Aid training or be willing to obtain it, pass or obtain a clean background check, and be able to travel within the territory with access to a vehicle.
