Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care, grooming, hygiene, and mobility
- Implement redirection, calming techniques, and routine management for clients with dementia or memory loss
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings, shopping, and errands
- Medication Assist / Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship, cognitive stimulation, and gentle support
- Ability to follow care plans and provide accurate documentation/charting
- Ongoing, consistent shifts in order to build close relationships with regular clients
- Shifts ranging anywhere from 2 hours up to 12 hours

- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student) preferred
- Prior experience in general caregiving or supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a strong asset
- Must reside in Metro Vancouver or the Lower Mainland and be willing and able to reliably commute to shifts in your local community
- Current CPR/First Aid training (or willingness to obtain)
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector Check valid for 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to travel around your local community
- Access to Internet / smartphone with data

Responsibilities
Provide personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to clients in their homes. Follow care plans, support clients with dementia or memory loss using appropriate calming and routine-management techniques, and maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
A Health Care Aide certificate or equivalent is preferred, and prior caregiving experience - especially supporting people with Alzheimer’s or dementia - is an asset. Candidates must live in Metro Vancouver or the Lower Mainland, be able to commute reliably and travel locally, and have current CPR/First Aid and a Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain them.
