Manage leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with applicable provincial legislation across multiple jurisdictions.

Partner with leadership to address employee relations matters, conducting thorough, fair, and legally compliant investigations.

Communicate and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with multi-provincial legal requirements and company standards.

Identify training and coaching needs within business units and support development initiatives.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, and best practices across Canadian provinces.

Support complex and sensitive HR matters, including accommodations, investigations, and terminations, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation across jurisdictions.

Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data across provinces.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (CHRP, CHRL, or similar Canadian HR designation is an asset).

7–10 years of progressive HR experience as a Generalist or HR Business Partner, preferably supporting multi-provincial Canadian operations.

Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law across multiple provinces, including Employment Standards Acts (ESA) in provinces such as British Columbia, Alberta, New Brunswick, and Ontario, as well as common law employment practices.

Demonstrated experience applying HR policies and practices in a multi-jurisdictional environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to influence leaders, manage employee relations issues, and support change management initiatives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
