Original job description

Position: Service Manager - HVAC
Location: Calgary, AB
Industry: HVAC / Home Services
Salary: $80K to $100K

Are you an experienced HVAC professional who has developed strong technical skills and enjoys leading, motivating, and supporting a team?

Are you currently a Senior Crew Leader, Field Supervisor, Service Supervisor, or experienced HVAC Team Lead looking for an opportunity to step into a management role? We want to hear from you!

Our client, an established and growing home services organization, is seeking a Service Manager to support and lead its Calgary service operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the HVAC industry, knows what it takes to keep field teams performing at their best, and is ready to take on greater responsibility for people leadership, operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business results.

Whether you're already managing a team or are a strong field leader ready for your next career move, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for!

What will you do :

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC technicians and field service professionals.
- Oversee daily service operations, scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning.
- Monitor team productivity, service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational KPIs.
- Support operational budgets, labour costs, gross margins, and profitability targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and overall team performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with independent contractors and external service partners.
- Handle customer escalations and ensure timely, effective resolutions.
- Work closely with management and internal departments to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Create a positive, accountable team environment where employees are motivated to succeed.

What are you looking for?

Previous experience within the HVAC, heating, cooling, or mechanical services industry.
Experience leading or supervising HVAC technicians, installers, crew members, or field service teams.
Candidates currently working as Senior Crew Leaders, Field Supervisors, Service Supervisors, or Team Leads are encouraged to apply.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and/or water heater services.
An understanding of scheduling, productivity, labour costs, and operational performance.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
Someone who takes initiative, enjoys challenges, and is ready to grow professionally.

A Gas Fitter Class B or Class A would be highly desired.

You don't necessarily need to have held a title for the Service Manager beforehand. We're interested in individuals who have demonstrated leadership potential, understand field operations, and are ready to take ownership of a larger operation.

What's in it for you?

Competitive compensation package.
Opportunity to step into a leadership role and advance your career.
Work with an established organization in the home services industry.
Professional development and ongoing training.
The opportunity to make a real impact on team performance and business results.
Long-term career growth potential.

If you're an experienced HVAC professional ready to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you!

Whether you're currently managing a service team or are a Senior Crew Leader or Supervisor ready to move into management, this could be an excellent opportunity.

All inquiries will be treated with the strictest confidence.
