DB2 Developer
Contract – 6+ months
Location – Montreal, QC (Onsite - 3 days a week)
Required Skills
- 7–10+ years of experience in DB2 development.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DB2 - DB2 LUW / DB2 UDB.
- Advanced SQL development and database programming skills.
- Strong Linux/Unix experience.
- Hands-on Python scripting/programming experience.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience working with large databases and large datasets.
- Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and ETL concepts.
- Experience in enterprise or financial services environments is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale banking or financial applications.
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience supporting production applications and resolving performance-related issues.

Responsibilities
Develop and program databases using IBM DB2, including advanced SQL, and tune and optimize performance across large databases and datasets. Support production applications, resolve performance issues, and collaborate with teams in an enterprise or financial services environment.
Requirements
Requires 7–10+ years of DB2 development experience, strong hands-on skills with DB2 LUW or DB2 UDB, advanced SQL, Linux/Unix, and Python. Candidates should understand database design, data modeling, and ETL; experience in financial services, large-scale banking applications, data warehousing, and production support is preferred.
