Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Data Architect

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Data Architect will lead data architecture and technical design for the Business Intelligence (BI) and data analytics stream of the PE365 program. The role will ensure that Finance and Operations data is structured, governed, integrated, and made available for trusted enterprise reporting, analytics, and downstream data products. Working across the ERP implementation, business, integration, data platform, and BI teams, the Data Architect will translate operational and analytical requirements into scalable designs that support the transition from legacy systems to D365 F&O and the future-state enterprise data platform.

• Extensive experience designing enterprise data solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in complex, multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of the D365 F&O logical and physical data model, data entities, financial dimensions, legal entities, inventory, sales data domains, and cross-module data relationships.
• Demonstrated experience architecting ERP data integration, reporting, data warehousing, lakehouse, and semantic-layer solutions.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft data and analytics technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Dataverse, Synapse, Power BI, and related integration services.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake platform, Talend ETL tool.
• Experience with D365 F&O data access and integration patterns, such as supported export, replication, API, event, and entity-based approaches.
• Proficiency in dimensional modelling, data vault or canonical modelling concepts, SQL, metadata management, master and reference data, and data lifecycle practices.
• Experience defining source-to-target mappings, reconciliation controls, data quality rules, test strategies, and technical design documentation.
• Ability to assess standard functionality and custom extensions, identify downstream data impacts, and recommend sustainable alternatives.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between finance and operations stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, delivery partners, and executives.
• Experience working within a large ERP transformation using Agile, hybrid, or stage-gated delivery methods.
