ASSIGNMENT: Grade 4-5
FTE: 1.0
LOCATION: Carson Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 21, 2026 until June 30, 2027
Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization: Elementary Education with specialization at the Intermediate level
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the Intermediate level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
Additional Qualifications: Not required for this posting

Responsibilities
Teach a Grade 4–5 class at Carson Elementary School during the temporary assignment. Collaborate with professional staff and school teams on the School Growth Plan, environmental initiatives, and the school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be in good standing with the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch. They must have elementary education training with an intermediate specialization, recent successful intermediate-level teaching experience, or a reasonable expectation of being able to perform the role successfully; willingness to collaborate and support school initiatives is also required.
