Original job description
Quickly | Kelowna, BC | Full-time
Reports to: Sales Manager
Based in our Kelowna office, with flexibility to work from home when needed.
Travel: Approximately one trip per month across North America.
About Quickly
Quickly helps companies offer an early payment program to their suppliers. Suppliers can choose to receive payment sooner in exchange for a discount, while buyers earn savings and maintain their existing payment terms.
The program is free to join, with no onboarding or subscription fees. Quickly earns revenue through a share of the discount generated on early payment transactions. Our fully automated platform integrates with buyers’ accounting software, making it simple to offer the program across their supply chain.
We focus on the Construction and Energy industries, with a mission to be the global brand unlocking cash flow.
About the role
We’re looking for an Account Executive with hands-on sales experience, high energy and a drive to win new business for Quickly. You’re organized, comfortable making cold calls and running demos, and understand the urgency needed to move deals forward and close. You’ll inherit an existing pipeline and work alongside our Sales Manager on active deals as ownership transitions to you.
Approximately 70% of your focus will be managing existing opportunities, developing partner-sourced business and working leads before, during and after events. The remaining 30% will involve generating your own opportunities through thoughtful research and personalized, targeted outreach.
You’ll have room to bring new ideas, improve how we sell and make a direct contribution to Quickly’s growth.
What you’ll own
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, qualification, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation and closing.
- Take ownership of the existing pipeline, establish clear next steps and maintain momentum with prospects and decision-makers.
- Build relationships with our partners’ sales teams, help them identify relevant opportunities and collaborate on introductions and closing deals.
- Attend industry and partner events across North America. Research prospects, arrange meetings in advance and follow through promptly after each event.
- Identify and pursue new buyer opportunities within Construction and Energy.
- Develop your own pipeline through focused account research, cold calling and creative, personalized outreach using email, LinkedIn and relevant supporting materials.
- Understand prospects’ business priorities and financial processes, communicate Quickly’s value clearly and build a compelling business case.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.
- Keep HubSpot accurate and current, including contacts, activities, deal stages, expected close dates and next steps.
- Provide realistic forecasts, identify deal risks early and take action to move opportunities forward.
- Work with Marketing, Finance, Product and Onboarding to address customer questions and deliver clear handoffs when deals close.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quota.
What you bring
- 1–2 years of experience in a full sales cycle B2B Account Executive role, with prior SDR or sales development experience.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong sales fundamentals, including qualifying prospects, conducting discovery calls and product demos, handling objections, negotiating and closing deals.
- Experience generating outbound opportunities and managing multiple deals through a structured sales process.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and CRM discipline. You understand your pipeline and can explain what is likely to close, when and why.
- Experience using HubSpot to manage deals, track activity and maintain an accurate pipeline is preferred.
- A sense of urgency in progressing and closing deals: you follow up promptly, secure clear next steps and address blockers before they become delays.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative and think creatively when the usual approach isn’t working.
- A collaborative approach, openness to feedback and accountability for your work and results.
- High energy, a passion for selling Quickly and enthusiasm for our mission. You’re eager to learn, take ownership and contribute to a team that enjoys working together.
- Ability to work from our Kelowna office and travel across North America approximately once per month.
Experience that’s a bonus
- Selling to finance leaders or selling fintech, payments, accounting software or ERP solutions.
- Experience in Construction or Energy, including oil and gas.
- Working with partner sales teams or developing business through industry events.
- Experience using Apollo or similar prospecting tools.
- Experience using AI tools to improve prospect research, personalize outreach and work more efficiently.
How we work
Our core values guide how we work with customers, partners and each other:
- Work Together - Share information, collaborate across the team and support each other’s success.
- Be Efficient - Prioritize work that matters, stay organized and look for better ways to get things done.
- Enjoy the Ride - Bring a positive attitude, celebrate progress and help make Quickly a place people enjoy working.
- Get It Done - Take ownership, act with urgency and follow through.
- Find a Way - Stay curious, think creatively and work through challenges.
Compensation and benefits
- $60,000–$70,000 CAD annual base salary plus commission, with on-target earnings of $85,000–$95,000.
- Company shares.
- Medical and dental benefits.
- Three weeks of vacation.
- An environment that fosters growth and development.
