Original job description

We are currently seeking a Merchandiser Representative for the Southern Alberta Area.

Under the supervision of the Industrial Sales Manager, the Merchandiser Representative will be responsible for supporting the sales and specification team with updating client showrooms, libraries, maintaining internal sample room, help with ordering samples from vendors and assist with lunch and learns.

This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory and involves physical work, including the handling of heavy items.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to:

Set up store layouts according to planograms created by brand managers and/or sales representatives
Update collateral such as binders and samples in showrooms and libraries
Monitor and update samples internally
Travel throughout the territory (Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Calgary and Lethbridge) as required
Learn the different merchandising components for each brand
Provide reports with photos at the end of each setup

Requirements

University degree in Marketing, combine with relevant experience
Valid drivers licence and own vehicle.
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in the hardware industry is a strong asset
Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

Requirements
