Automation Engineer

R&D Partners is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the development, testing, and validation of automated systems and equipment. This role focuses on ensuring the functionality, reliability, and compliance of industrial automation systems in a regulated environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, validate, and document processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Review and execute testing protocols for equipment and software systems.
• Test and verify automated systems, including sensors, controls, alarms, and robotic equipment.
• Validate software and hardware throughout the system lifecycle.
• Ensure data integrity and traceability within electronic records and databases.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Document test results, discrepancies, and corrective actions accurately.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of deviations or system errors.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience working with automated systems.
• Familiarity with testing protocols and validation processes.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, including sensors, actuators, vision systems, and robotics.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation such as electrical drawings and system specifications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Understanding of data integrity principles and regulated industry standards.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or assembly.
• Knowledge of GxP practices and computerized system validation.
• Familiarity with vision inspection systems and part traceability processes.

Compensation:

• $55 to $65 per hour.
