Role: Backend Developer (Ruby/Golang)
Location: Toronto (Onsite)
Work Mode: From office
Experience: 8+ Years
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications, microservices, and REST APIs using Ruby and Golang.
- Build scalable and reliable solutions for high-traffic applications.
- Work with MySQL, Cassandra, and Redis for data storage and caching.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on AWS, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development activities.
- Support application releases and critical production events.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Ruby and Golang development.
- Expertise in REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Good understanding of scalability, performance tuning, and system design.
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.
- Strong problem-solving and production support skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic.
- Experience with streaming, media, or other high-volume consumer applications.
- Knowledge of authentication, subscriptions, payment, or analytics integrations.
