Role:- Project Manager

Location: Hybrid - 2 days a week on site is mandatory( EDMONTON)

Duration: long term contract

Detailed Job Descriptions:-

Responsible for managing Medium to Large IT projects
Oversees the end to end daily management and delivery of one or more projects
Responsible for the monitoring, reporting and control of the assigned projects
Responsible for engaging all IT, vendor and business stakeholders
Responsible for successful delivery of the assigned projects
Successful direct management of IT projects ranging from $250,000 to $5,000,000, with at least 2-3 projects above $2 million dollars range
Proven ability to manage project financials and develop regular forecasts within a defined budget
Proven ability to deliver clear and concise project documentation
Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to work within standard procedures and methodologies
Ability to demonstrate high level functional and/or technical understanding of the scope of their projects
Ability to provide input into procedure and methodology improvement
Ability to forecast resource effort effectively
Proven success at managing and controlling the scope of projects through effective change control and scope management processes
Ability to pick up projects mid-stream and deliver the projects to successful completion
Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies
PMP Certification is an asset
looking for a strong PM with a broad skillset to be able to manage a variety of project work
Previous experience as a Business Analyst is an asset
Previous experience managing projects containing significant Business Process re-engineering and Change Management is an asset

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end delivery, monitoring, reporting, and control of medium to large IT projects, including project financials, budgets, resources, scope, and change control. Engage IT, vendor, and business stakeholders, provide clear project documentation, and deliver projects successfully, including those taken over mid-stream.

Requirements

Demonstrated success managing IT projects valued from $250,000 to $5 million, including at least two or three projects exceeding $2 million, with strong financial, forecasting, communication, and scope-control capabilities. Experience with both agile and waterfall methods is required; PMP certification, prior business analyst experience, and experience with business process re-engineering and change management are assets.
