The resource for the position will need to have established skills in the following areas: ·
- Experience with VMware environment upgrade to VCF 9.x (Required)
- VMware Architecture, Design, and Implementation experience (Required)
- Experience with workload migration to VCF 9.x (Required)
- VMware stack experience with: SRM, NSX-T, vSphere, vSAN, vLCM (Required)
- Lead VMware DR and High Availiability testing including SRM, vShere Replication (Desired)
- VMware professional training (Desired)
- VCP-DCV (Data Center Virtualization / vSphere)
- VCP-NV (Network Virtualization / NSX)
- VCP-TKG (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid)
We are looking for an experienced VMware Implementer with expertise performing VMware upgrades. This role requires a technical architect/implementator with experience planning and implementing VMware upgrades from vSphere 8 to VCF 9.x spanning multiple data centres in Canada and the US. In relation to these initiatives and some operational requirements we require an Infrastructure Architect/Implementer to assist with our VMware design and upgrade implementation.The accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Work with an established team of solution architects to plan and execute an existing VMware environment upgrade to 9.x.
- Provide input to the IS Infrastructure project deliverables (schedules, test plans, test results, implementation plans, transition to operations, processes/procedures) and other documents as needed
- Developing, implementing and reviewing the support processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards and regulatory requirements and to ensure mitigation of risk.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute an upgrade of an existing VMware environment to VCF 9.x across multiple data centers in Canada and the United States, working with solution architects. Contribute to project schedules, test and implementation plans, results, operational transition materials, and support processes that meet policies, standards, and regulatory requirements while mitigating risk.
Requirements
The role requires experience upgrading VMware environments to VCF 9.x, designing and implementing VMware architectures, and migrating workloads to VCF 9.x. Required platform experience includes SRM, NSX-T, vSphere, vSAN, and vLCM; leading disaster recovery and high-availability testing and VMware professional training or certifications are desired.
