Provide real-time counsel on complex journalistic questions, including legal risks (defamation, publication bans), ethical dilemmas, and sensitive interviews.
Serve as the final escalation point in the newsroom for breaking, highly sensitive, or controversial local stories, coordinating with CBC Legal and network leadership when necessary.
